Nexum Bot handles the repetitive physical labor of a household — tidying, laundry, dishes, deliveries. It operates autonomously for routine tasks and hands off to a remote operator for anything new.

Soft on the outside, direct-drive underneath.

The whole body is covered in a knitted polymer skin over compliant joints, so contact with a person is absorbed rather than resisted. Back-drivable direct-drive actuators keep the joints compliant and the robot near-silent.

Nexum Bot has started pilot programs. Pre-sales of 10,000 units open in Q2 and shipments run through late 2027 and 2028.

The body is soft and every joint is back-drivable, so contact is absorbed instead of resisted, and torque limits are enforced in firmware below the software stack where a software update cannot raise them. Vision and proximity sensing slow the robot near people and pets, and it stops on contact. We run structured testing and live pilot programs before commercial sales begin.

It charges by cable if you want it to keep working while topping up, and wirelessly through its feet on a floor dock. Either way it reaches 80% in about 30 minutes and docks itself whenever it is idle.

Tidying, laundry, dishwasher loading and unloading, and fetching named objects. Anything outside that set is completed by a remote operator with your consent, and used as training data.

Founder Simon Appelquist started Nexum Labs in early 2026, after successfully selling his first business, with the goal of building Europe's first commercially available humanoid robot. The team is now 20+ people, self-funded with roughly €20M of our own capital.
